Borrowing

In order to borrow books, users must join the NDA Library and agree to the Loans Policy.

You can borrow books, CD-ROMs, DVDs and videos unless they are a reference or archive item. You can borrow 2 items at a time. The borrowing period is for 2 weeks, but items can be renewed for up to 5 times if no one else has reserved them. We charge fines for overdue items, and borrowers are invoiced for the replacement cost of books if lost.

We will send you overdue notices by post/email/phone, but it is the responsibility of the borrower to renew and return items on time.

Postal Loans

To facilitate library users around the country, borrowers can receive their items by post. Once we have received all your contact information and you have agreed to the Loans Policy, we can post you the item. Items need to be posted back to the library by the due date. We ask borrowers to use padded envelopes and address the package clearly. Borrowers have to pay for the cost of return postage, and for the full cost of the item if it is lost.

Renewing an Item

You can contact us to renew an item. If no one else has reserved the item, you can renew it up to 5 times.
