About the National Disability Authority

The National Disability Authority is the independent state body providing expert advice on disability policy and practice to the Minister, and promoting Universal Design in Ireland.

The NDA is an independent statutory agency established under the aegis of the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform by the National Disability Authority Act, 1999.

Organisation of the NDA

The NDA Authority meet monthly to discuss and review the progress of the NDA. Find out about staff within the NDA.

The National Disability Authority is organised into three Departments:

  1. Policy, Public Affairs and Research;
  2. Centre for Excellence in Universal Design and Standards, Monitoring;
  3. Corporate Services.
