Resource allocation models for disability services: assessment of four systems 2015

The report presents the National Disability Authority’s assessment of the four resource allocation systems for disability services which it studied, namely FACE, InterRAI, In Control’s Resource Allocation System 5 (RAS 5), and the Supports Intensity Scale (SIS). It represents the combination of the findings of two phases of research conducted between 2011-13 and 2013-2015.

This report was presented to the Department of Health and the HSE in April 2015, and has been used to inform deliberations on selection of a single resource allocation tool for disability services in Ireland, a decision on which is pending.
